How Do You Build A Laptop Case?
Having a carrying case to keep your laptop computer in is important to protecting it. If you want to create your own laptop case, you can assemble one with materials that are durable and protective. Quilted lining and the rubber used for workbench mats are examples. If you want a more professional look, however, you can use foam rubber to convert an old briefcase into one that will store your laptop securely. Cut up a sheet of thin quilted lining to make the case’s inner lining. This piece’s size should be the computer’s length and width, plus three inches on each end and double the length. For an 18 by 12 inch laptop, the lining is 42 by 15 inches. Wrap the lining around the laptop sideways, making sure the ends overlap, and mark where the overlap occurs. Remove the computer and glue the lining into a loop that fits snugly around the computer, using your markings for a guide. Slip the computer into the lining after the glue dries. Lay the wrapped laptop on a rubber workbench mat. Cut
