How Do You Build A Kids DC Generator?
A direct current (DC) generator produces a current of electricity that travels in one direction. This type of generator can be used to power many electronic devices and even charge car batteries. DC generators are manufactured according to the potential current required. Therefore, there are huge generators capable of powering large buildings, and there are those that are just large enough to power a small device. Following the same basic construction principles as large generators you can build a simple DC generator quickly and easily. Build a box from the cardboard that is 2 1/2 inches on each side. Glue the magnets into opposite ends of the box with the opposite poles facing each other. Cut off the top of the box. Make another cardboard box small enough to fit into the space between the two magnets freely. Puncture holes on opposite sides of the box and stick the pen through the holes.
