How Do You Build A Grind Rail For A Snowboard?
The most difficult thing about building a snowboard grind rail is finding the grind rail. You can find this at hardware shops or at a junkyard. Also, the key to success is securing the grind rail into the ground so that it does not budge when you grind on it. Decide where you want the snowboard grind rail to go. Put on the gloves and protective eye wear. Insert one of the 4-foot holder metal tubes into the ground. Grind it in, rotating it to create a hole. If necessary, use the trowel to create more of a deep hole. Do this until the tubing is inserted about 4 to 5 inches into the ground. Repeat this with the other 4-foot holder metal tube, in a straight line either 7 feet above or below the first holder tube. Use the soldering gun to solder each of the holder tubes to the 9-foot grind rail tubing. Solder each tube about a foot in from either edge. Mix up the concrete. Fill the holes in the ground halfway up, then insert the soldered grind rail into each hole by the 4-foot holder tubes.
