Do you have a storage shed in your yard or perhaps at work that you want to install a door on? Here are step-by-step instructions on how to build a simple wooden door for your shed. You can also convert a single door into double doors if you want that option. Measure out the length and width of the opening in the shed doorway. If the space is wider than 5 feet, a double door will be best. Subtract 1/2 inch from your two measurements. Transfer those new measurements onto the piece of plywood and draw out a rectangle for a single door. To create double doors, divide the overall width measurement by two and create two individual sections on the plywood using the same length as before and the new width. Sand any rough edges off your pieces with the circular saw. Apply wood stain or paint of your choice and allow to dry. Apply water sealant to your cut sections and allow to dry.
