How Do You Build A Doll Bench?
A bench for a doll is an important addition to any complete set of doll accessories and can be used to display a miniature friend or figurine. The basic structural shape of a bench is simple enough to also make for an ideal beginning miniature woodworking project, whether you plan to make a bench for one doll or one that’s large enough to seat two at a time. Trim four 2-inch lengths of dowel on the scroll saw; these are the bench’s legs. Measure with a ruler. Create the seat for the bench. For a one-seater bench, cut a piece of flat board into a 3-by-2-inch rectangle. For a two-seater bench, make this piece 2 by 5 inches. Round off the two front edges of the rectangle. Use a power grinder to wear down just enough of two corners (those on a long edge of the piece) to give the bench a more homey, comfortable look.
