A bird aviary provides a place for birds to fly and enjoy nature as if they were wild. It also allows you to enjoy your birds without having all the mess that’s involved with several indoor cages. The size cage to build will depend upon the amount of room you have. Follow these steps to learn how to build a bird aviary. Create four panels of equal size using the 2-by-4s and galvanized nails. Be sure to include a gate on one of the panels for you to access the bird aviary. The size of the panels will depend on the size bird aviary you want to build. Stretch 1/4-inch wire mesh over each panel. If you’re housing small birds in your bird aviary you may want to double the wire mesh to prevent escape. Connect the panels to form the bird aviary. Secure the 2-by-4s together using galvanized nails. Cover the top of the bird aviary with wire mesh. If you reside in an area where it snows or rains frequently you may want to consider making a sloped roof instead of using wire mesh for the top. You
