How Do You Buff High-Gloss Acrylic Paint?
High-gloss acrylic paint can dull over time, but there are easy ways to bring back the luster. One key thing to keep in mind, however, is to be gentle with this paint. In other words, don’t try to scour the finish to a high gloss. Soft towels and the right kinds of polishes, meant for acrylic paint, should be all that is necessary to bring that mirror-like shine back to your vehicle. Wash the car or motorcycle off with a garden hose. Put some water and a small amount of liquid dish detergent in a bucket. Dip a microfiber towel in this and wash any dirty areas, and then rinse the car. Let the car dry and then use a microfiber cloth to buff a small area of the paint job. If this polishes the glossy finish well enough, you may not need to use anything more than the towels. Pour a little acrylic polish onto a clean microfiber towel. Buff it in lightly, using circular strokes. Move on to another section of the vehicle and continue, section by section, just as in Step 3. Switch out the cloth
