How do you breed on pokemon diamond ds lite?
To breed two Pokemon, pick two of them (male and female) and put them both in the Daycare Center in Solaceon Town. After you take a certain amount of steps, and then come back to the Daycare Center, you may or may not get an egg (after every 256 steps, the game will decide whether or not an egg is produced). Once you get your egg, you will take BUNCHES of steps. You need to raise the egg’s Happiness level by a certain amount (depends on the Pokemon), which raises 1 level every 256 steps taken. So keep the egg in your party and just bike back and forth until the egg hatches (breeding takes a fair amount of time). The Pokemon hatched will be the same Pokemon as its mother, and inherits egg moves based on its father. You can only breed two Pokemon that are in the same egg group. Most people use Ditto for breeding, since it can breed with everything (except Legendary Pokemon, which can never breed).
