How Do You Boot Someone On Yahoo Messenger?
Yahoo! Messenger is a good way to communicate with friends and family. But since other Yahoo! users can contact you as well, it’s possible to receive unwanted messages from badly-behaved users. Because Yahoo! Messenger users are not able to create or manage their own Yahoo! chat rooms, you cannot obtain the administrator access necessary to forcibly disconnect or “boot” someone from Yahoo! servers. You can, however, add offensive users to your “Ignore List,” blocking their communication attempts. If a user’s behavior is particularly offensive, submitting a report may prompt Yahoo! administrators to investigate that user’s behavior and suspend the person’s account–in effect, legally booting a user on your behalf. Double-click the Yahoo! Messenger icon to bring up your Contact List. Click on “Messenger,” and select “Preferences.” Click on “Ignore List” in the list pane on the left side of the “Preferences” window. Click on “Add,” and type in the name of the contact you wish to ignore. Y
