How Do You Blow Up Helium Balloons?
Helium balloons are a great feature for any party and add a festive feel to the surroundings. Although it is possible to purchase pre-inflated balloons from a local party store you may choose to blow up your own helium balloons. Party stories rent helium tanks, allowing you to inflate as many balloons as you want. This is often a good idea when hundreds of balloons are needed. Turn on the helium tank by twisting the helium release handle to the left. You may hear a slight hissing sound emitting from the helium tank. Place the opening of the first balloon over the emitting tube of the helium tank and push down. This releases the helium gas into the balloon. Pull the helium balloon off of the emitting tube while pinching the opening of the balloon. Keep one thumb, pointer and middle finger pinching down on the balloon, and use the other hand to pull the opening of the balloon, stretching it out.
