How Do You Block Text Messages On Verizon Phones?
Texting has become a popular way of communicating on wireless phones. It is a quick means of getting a message to the intended recipient. However, if you are the recipient of an unwelcome or unsolicited text–or several of them–you might be looking for a way to stop the sender from filling your inbox. Fortunately, Verizon has set up controls allowing you to block text messages. Go to www.vzw.com/spamcontrols and click on “Start Using Spam Controls.” Sign in to your Verizon Wireless account. If you do not have an account already, you must create one in order to block text messages. It is easy and free. Once you have signed in, you will be redirected to the spam controls page. Enter the offending phone number. You may enter up to five phone numbers to block text messages from. Blocking texts will also block calls from that number, so be sure you want to block the number. Click the “Apply” button. The number is now blocked from sending texts or calls to your phone.
