When you surf the web, you may, on occasion, come across annoying messages from advertisers that appear in pop-up windows. These windows, which can drain you system’s resources, can be blocked with a couple of free and easy steps that take about two minutes to complete. Start your Internet Explorer. Hit “Tools” in the main menu bar. Scroll down and hit “Pop-up Blocker.” Select “Turn On Pop-up Blocker.” Restart your browser. Start your Firefox browser. Select “Firefox” in the main menu bar. Scroll down and select “Preferences.” Click the “Content” tab. Put a check mark in the box corresponding with “Block pop-up windows.” Restart your browser.
