How Do You Block Certain Sites From Internet Access?
The Internet has become an increasingly important research and learning tool for people of all ages, which raises concerns about Internet safety especially for children. It is relatively easy for a child to access sites with profanity, violence and adult content, so being able to block certain websites is useful for parents or other computer administrators. Use Internet Explorer as your only web browser. Get rid of other web browsers so users are forced to use Internet Explorer to access the web. Inside Internet Explorer, click on “Tools.” Click “Internet Options.” Click on the tab labeled “Privacy.” Click the “Sites” button. Type or copy and paste the web address of any site you want to block into the blank. Click “Block” to add it to the list of blocked sites. Repeat Step 4 for all websites you wish to block.
