How Do You Blend Corn Syrup With Cane Syrup?
Cane syrup is a liquid sweetener made by cooking and evaporating sugar cane juice to thick syrup. Many cooks prefer using cane syrup instead of corn syrup because of the health and environmental concerns connected with using corn syrup. Cane syrup is especially popular with cooks in the southern regions of the U.S. and in Great Britain. Some cooks blend corn syrup with cane syrup to stretch their cane syrup or to increase the shelf life of the cane syrup. Pour 2 cups of cane syrup and 2 cups of corn syrup into the glass measuring cup. Stir the two syrups well with the spoon to incorporate them completely together. Pour the cane syrup and corn syrup mixture into a clean glass or plastic bottle and label it clearly.
