How do you bleed a ford powerstroke fuel system?
Okey you are in a multi-person time taking proceedure. if you have access to an air-compressor use it to pressureized the fuel tank. Stuff a couple rags in to prevent air and fuel spilling back at you! But first loosen all fuel lines at injectors if you want to. I personaly recommend to fill your fuel filter with fuel then replace the cover. This will help to start the engine and pull fuel throught the lines! Then try starting the truck but pump the gas while you crank. DONT CRANK MORE THAN 10 SECONDS OR YOU WILL DAMAGE THE STARTER!!!!!!! Fords are known for this. The pressure in the fuel tank will help push fuel through the fuel injection pump to start the truck….We do this all the time in the army for humwvees!!!!! Works like a charm.
