How Do You Best Use Colton Plastic Cement?
Colton Plastic Cement is called “plastic cement” because it has a higher degree of plasticity than other cements. This makes it easier to work with in many building situations. The best way to use this cement is to make plaster out of it to cover the surface of a wall. An often-used type of plaster that can be made out of Colton Plastic Cement is called Portland cement plaster. Prepare the wall to be plastered. Sand away any chipped paint on the wall, fill in any cracks, and make sure there is no mold or moisture anywhere on the wall. Create the base coat of plaster. Mix one part Colton Plastic Cement and one part masonry sand with enough water to make the consistency runny. With a plaster brush, paint on a base coat of plaster about 1/8″ thick.
