With your feet parallel, gently push yourself backward so that you glide backwards for a short distance. • Bend your knees a bit. • Don’t allow your arms to fly around. • Don’t lean back! • Practice this exercise again and again until you feel comfortable with the feeling of gliding backwards on ice skates.
