Voice acting is one of those jobs that seems a lot easier than it actually is. A lot of human communication comes from facial expression and body language. Voice acting requires you to convey all the emotion, meaning and humor through your voice alone, and then match it to the computerized or cartoon image on a screen. In some cases, you may be recording your voice before seeing your on-screen counterpart. Voice acting requires just as much practice and persistence as other acting jobs. Study acting. Read books or join an acting class to learn how to convey different emotions. Voice acting is more than just speaking in a funny voice, and by becoming a confident actress you can have ready access to emotions. Study other voice actresses. Listen to how other actresses perform. You may want to turn your back to the screen in order to concentrate on listening to the voice. If you have the equipment, try removing the sound effects and music from a movie in order to listen to just the voices.
