How Do You Become A US Customs Agent?
A US Customs agent now works for the Department of US Customs and Border Protection. This change took place after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, when the Department of Homeland Security was created. Customs officers/agents are trained specifically to prevent illegal aliens, terrorists, weapons and illegal cargo or contraband from entering the United States.
