How do you become a runway model?
Ok, so it’s not as easy as just deciding you want to walk the runway, and that’s that. However, here I will tell you what you need physically and mentally to break into the industry and into this very competitive field of modeling. Step 1 Determine whether you are truly right for this industry. This involves the ever-so-pleasant task of measuring. First, you must be at least 5 feet 8 inches tall to fit this category of modeling; this is up for debate, as the typical designer believes 5’8 to be too short for a fashion model, especially one who wishes to do runway- 5’9 is the minimum for many agencies and designers. Some countries do hire girls who are 5’7 to walk the runway, albeit rarely, if they appear taller than they actually are numerically (Kate Moss, of course, jumps to mind).
