How Do You Become A Registered Dietician In India?
A dietitian usually develops and helps to plan diets for individuals. One of the main duties of dietitians is to teach people about healthy foods and how to properly plan their diets. It is important for dietitians to know what is happening in the medical field and keep in touch with other health care providers such as nurses, doctors and pharmacists. Get a four-year science based degree. Pursue a degree in food science. You can undertake a B.Sc in dietetics and nutrition. Additionally if your undergraduate degree is not in food science, you can pursue a Master’s in Nutrition in a recognized Indian University to become a dietitian. Bombay University and Delhi University provide dietitian courses (see Resources). Get a provisional registration certificate from the Medical Council of India.
