How Do You Become A Real Army Ranger?
There seems to be this confusion among active duty and veteran soldiers alike as to exactly what an Army Ranger is; since I am one I’m here to clear it up and tell you what it takes to be one. If you are thinking about enlisting, tell your recruiter that you want to be an Airborne Ranger and nothing else. Based on your size and stature he may try to blow you off, but let me assure you that size does not matter. I’ve seen some of the scrawniest guys make it through while the meat heads cry home to mama. Also, a recruiters job is to give you as little bonus as possible and to put you where the Army needs you, so you’ve got to be very strong in your adamancy to make sure that you don’t get what you don’t want. If you are already enlisted, you’ll need to PCS to Airborne school, then R.I.P. Making it through is up to you. For you new guys, there are a lot more details, so I will briefly touch on a few things to get moving down the line a bit quicker. Once you sign up for the military, your
