This adds up to 155,000 new jobs nationwide over the next 10 years. These professionals are responsible for managing local area networks, or LAN, and wide area networks, or WAN, and online functions for a business. They also maintain a company’s software and hardware, troubleshoot problems, and ensure network security is in place.
