How do you become a member of the Screen Actors Guild?
SAG is a labor union. It is basically just like any other union. You have to be a working actor and must work on SAG jobs. You have to show proof that you have worked as an actor on a SAG job or you have to be a member of an affiliated performers union (AFTRA, ACTRA, etc.) and be a member in good standing (your dues have to be paid up). There is more specific info at: http://www.sag.org/sagWebApp/ Note to queensassey: You are thinking of the SAG Awards. That is a completely different thing and a minor part of the SAG organization.
