Regardless of the state of the economy, people still must insure their cars, homes, boats and other valuable items. Additionally, businesses must maintain coverages such as Workers Compensation, Disability and General Liability coverages in order to protect their assets and their employees. In order to meet the ever-growing insurance needs for businesses and individuals, you must become a licensed insurance agent. Satisfy the age requirements. In most states, licensed insurance agents must be at least 18 years old. There is also a residency requirement.
