Polygamy is the practice of having more than one wife at the same time with complete awareness and acceptance of the wives. It can be for religious or secular reasons and need not be restricted to any particular religion. Step 1 Start with one: Polygamy assumes that you have at least one wife (presently legally married or divorced) and that she is willing to support the idea of adding another wife to the family. Step 2 Pick another: Pick the sister-wife. If you’d like to stay out of prison then pick the next wife from among women that are legally marriageable. That means legal age, not already married, mentally competent, not incestuous, and willing. Your present wife/wives must be agreeable to becoming family with this woman or you’re doomed to fail. Step 3 Marry the new wife: First you’ll have to obtain a legal civil divorce from the first wife.
