When you read tales about knights in shining armor, you assume that they grew into their positions easily. In actuality, the life of a knight-to-be was not easy. They had to pass through the stages of page and squire before being knighted, which meant learning difficult skills and serving their masters devotedly. You would have to overcome many challenges before finally becoming a knight. Step 1 Become a page at the age of seven in the palace of another knight.
