Florida Property Appraisers falls under the jurisdiction of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Under the DBPR is the Florida Appraisers Board. Becoming a Florida Property Appraiser is not easy. It takes a lot of time and education but can become a very lucrative career. There are also different qualifications of property appraisers, each with it’s own set of required education and testing. This can prove to be very challenging and rewarding. Step 1 Become a registered trainee. Before you become a certified residential appraiser in Florida you must become a registered trainee. You must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
