Hey! I am a film major at ASU and honestly becoming a film critic for any sort of magazine or newspaper requires you to have some sort of degree in the area of film and media studies…I am a film production major, so that’s different. But, what you got to do is at least take some none-major film classes that just talk about movies because those certainly open your eyes because movies are so much more than you think before taking these classes. I have learned so much about things that go on in a single second of a movie that I wouldn’t without taking courses. That is a big deal for newspapers because they want people to make sense and know what they are talking about. I don’t know if you just want to get into movies so you can review them your self or not, but people get movie passes from advertising companies.
