A certified fraud examiner (CFE) is an expert in fraud investigation as well as in its prevention and deterrence. The certified fraud examiner (CFE) designation is offered and managed by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in Austin, Texas. The ACFE strives to raise awareness on fraud-related issues across the globe in an effort to not only train and educate white collar crime professionals, but also to minimize the incidence of fraud.
