How Do You Become A 4-H Leader Or Volunteer?
Are you into helping young people in your community, county or state prepare themselves for their future? As a 4-H volunteer you can donate as little or as much time as you wish to this organization. Look at your special talents or abilities and share them with 4-H. Call the local cooperative extension office to find the 4-H club in your area, or look under your state heading at 4h-usa.org. Attend a couple of meetings to see where your expertise could be used. Become a certified volunteer or leader. Each state or county has different guidelines for becoming a volunteer. Volunteer to be a project leader. A project leader works with a group of members who are enrolled in the same project such as sewing, cooking, an animal project or any one of the numerous 4-H projects. Volunteer to be an activity leader. An activity leader works with a group of members participating in a 4-H activity such as community involvement, conservation or a safety activity.
