While Bluetooth is starting to become a common option for many Palm PDA devices, the infrared beam is the typical standard of the Palm device. Infrared beams are capable of sending files to computers or other Palm devices, so that you can easily share information among devices. Furthermore, unlike a wired connection, no wires are needed for an infrared connection. Line the infrared beam up with the port of the Palm or PC you want to transfer to. Tap on the “Menu” button on your PDA screen and tap “Apps.” Then tap “Beam.” Choose an app or file to beam to the other device from the menu that appears, then tap “Beam” to have the other device automatically receive it.
