Every married woman has enjoyed one of the most important days of her life-her own wedding. One of the best days she will have, after the birth of her children, is when she gets the change to serve her daughter as the mother of the bride. Article after article has been written about being the bride, but what should you expect when you are the bride’s mother? Eliminate your personal desires. The most important thing to remember is, it is her betroth’s and HER day. Do not try to force her to please you. The wedding list is hers. Don’t try to force her to invite someone she doesn’t want to and don’t tell her something like ‘if your father’s new wife is invited I won’t be there.’ It is her day and she deserves the right to have both of her parents at the wedding, even if ‘she’ has to come.
