Everyone hates a Bridezilla–you know, the woman who thinks she’s a princess and demands that the world revolves around the planning of her special day. But that doesn’t mean that if you speak your mind during the wedding planning process, you’re a Bridezilla. A wedding is a significant event, and an expensive one, so there’s nothing wrong with making sure everything is as it should be. Make sure the groom is doing his fair share of the work. Do not let him hide behind the mythology that it’s “the bride’s day,” so he can let you run all the errands. There’s nothing wrong with insisting that he take responsibility for helping to plan his own wedding. Ask others to help you. There’s too much work to do it all by yourself, even if the groom is an equal wedding planning partner.
