• Learn some things about baseball. You can’t exactly become a fan of a specific team without having some kind of knowledge of baseball. Learn some terms such as pitcher, strike, out, and home run. • Learn some key players on the current Giants team, including starters Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain, catcher Buster Posey, and closer Brian Wilson. • Know the standings. Check in every now and again in the paper or online to see where the Giants are in the standings. • Familiarize yourself with AT&T Park- the Giants’ stomping grounds- a park widely considered to be among the most beautiful in all of Major League Baseball. If you get the opportunity, be sure to circle the stadium at least twice; once from the inside and once from the outside perimeter. Avoid becoming a “fair weather fan”. Fair weather fans are people who only cheer for a team if they are doing well. True fans root for a team when they are winning or losing.
