How Do You Be A Patriotic American?
Patriotism seems to have faded from fashion. It isn’t practiced the way that it once was, the way it should be. America and Americans are not perfect, never have been and never will be. That doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be proud of ourselves and our country. Here are a few guidelines to help you become a patriotic American. Know your history. Being proud of America is easy when you understand what we have survived and overcome. Learn about our triumphs and our tragedies. Figure out what mistakes were made and how not to repeat them. Know what was done right so we can do those things again. Obey the laws. It is hard to be patriotic when you don’t have enough respect for your country to obey the laws. Even when you disagree with them, understand that they were passed with the best intentions.
