How Do You Be A Band Promoter?
• Ask the band if they have any posters, flags etc. that you could distribute around the town. That would help a lot as people, just normal civilians, could take one look and think ‘WOW, thay’re cool! I’m telling all my mates about that!’ • Try telling all your friends! They might ‘dig’ that bands ‘vibe’ and that equals MORE PROMO PALS! • Try telling older people too. Age is just a number, and maths doesn’t come into this unless you’re counting up the big bucks! • Slip it into normal conversation. Like ‘Oh, there’s this really good band, and they’re doing a gig! Spread the word by Social Networking, E-Mails, etc. If you make a Twitter page, Bebo page and Facebook page, you can edit profiles, give out contact details, but you will need an email adress for the band to sign up. Go to Hotmail and click ‘Sign Up’. If your band was called ‘Misery and Mourn’ (for the pessimist) you could have themiseryandmourning@hotmail.com, or something along those lines.
