Few things are more frustrating than finding a load of laundry has not completed its wash cycle because of an unbalanced load. While many more recent washing machine models have auto-balancing features, even these are no match for heavy laundry pieces such as quilts if they are loaded incorrectly. Unbalanced loads can cause your entire washing machine to shake and rattle, and if it happens repeatedly, it can shorten the lifespan of your appliance. Open the washing machine lid, and ensure that laundry items are evenly arranged around the washing machine agitator. Rearrange laundry articles so that small items are mixed with large. Make sure that your Whirlpool washing machine is not overloaded. If the laundry is past the top of the cleaning basket, remove some articles, and wash them in a later load.
