How Do You Bake Perfect Oatmeal Cookies?
These are directions on how to make perfect delicious oatmeal cookies. I have been using this recipe for almost 40 years and everyone loves them. Preheat oven to 350. Cream sugars and butter on medium speed until well blended for several minutes. Add eggs one at a time on low speed. Add vanilla at the same low speed. Stir dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture until just blended. Stir in oats, nuts and raisins. Use a small (2 t.) cookie scoop. Place cookie batter using the cookie scoop on an ungreased cookie sheet, alternating 3 to a row and 4 to a row. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Place the baking racks on 2 levels – one closer to the bottom and one closer to the top. Place the first cookie sheet on the bottom and when it’s half done, move to the upper rack, placing the new sheet on the bottom. Keep alternating – this will accelerate the baking process. Let cookies cool on sheet for a few minutes. Remove with a metal spatula to waxed paper or baking mats.
