Beat in 4 egg yolks until mixture thickens slightly and fill pastry cases. Beat 4 egg whites until soft peaks form and slowly add 250 milliliter sugar while continuing to beat until stiff and shiny. Fold in another 125 milliliter sugar and cover each filled tartlet with enough meringue. Bake in a preheated oven at 130 degrees Celcius for 45 minutes until crispy. This recipe uses Nestles sweetened condensed milk but manages to avoid being too cloyingly sweet.
