How Do You Bake A Fabulous Lemon Pound Cake?
One of my favorite desserts is pound cake and this recipe for 7-Up Lemon Cake is one of the best pound cakes I’ve ever eaten. Given to me by my Mother-in-Law years ago, my kids always request it for holidays and special occasions. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan. Assemble your baking utinsils and ingredients. In addition to the listed ingredients, you will need a large mixing bowl, a one cup measuring cup, and measuring spoons. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy – about 3-4 minutes with an electric mixer on medium. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour alternately with 7-Up, beating well between additions with electric mixer of medium. Add lemon extract and beat for 1-2 minutes to combine. Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325 degrees. If your using a convection oven, bake for 1 hour. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then invert it onto a rack.
