How Do You Avoid HP Printer Plug & Play Problems?
Hewlett-Packard (HP) produces a wide variety of printers and scanners. These machines serve a range of needs from plain black and white to high-quality archival photo printing. Most of the models currently supported are “plug-and-play” devices that require no hardware configuration. However, HP printers do still require users to begin the installation process. The Setup Wizard is user-friendly but relies on adherence to a very particular setup procedure. Deviating from the setup instructions undermines the automatic installation and can lead to errors. Turn on the computer and wait for the system to boot up. Remove any old HP software by going to Control Panel, then Programs, and uninstalling any items labeled HP or Hewlett-Packard.
