Food poisoning (also known as traveler’s diarrhea) can make your vacation a nightmare. When traveling to a developing country, the food can often make you ill. Follow these easy steps to avoid the common food mistakes that could make you sick to your stomach, give you diarrhea, and much worse… Do not eat any raw vegetables while vacationing in developing country. This includes onions, tomatoes, and especially lettuce. It is almost impossible to clean lettuce well, so stay away from it. Cooked vegetables are ok to eat. Only eat fresh fruits that have a peel, like oranges, bananas, mangoes, etc. Stay away from fruits like strawberries, apples, and grapes, and juices made from those fruits.
