Portable apps are EXE files that run from a portable device such as a flash drive, CD or DVD. Autorunning portable apps from a CD allows you to run applications on a computer without installing them to a hard drive. Using a CD or other external memory to autorun portable apps is perfect for computers with restrictions, such as school or work computers. Find the Setup File or EXE file for the app you want. If you already have the file on a computer, click on “Search” in the “Start Menu” and input the file name for the apps you want. If you do not have the Setup or EXE file, search the Portable Apps website to find the file. Install the application if it is not already installed on the computer.
