How Do You Auto-Align The Meade LX90GPS Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope?
You can use Autostar to automatically align your Meade LX90GPS Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. Just follow these steps to the stars. Make sure you have tightened the Dec and RA locks and correctly attached Autostar to your telescope. Turn on the telescope. When Press “0” to align or “Mode” for Menu appears on the display, press “0.” “Automatic Alignment” will appear on the display. The telescope will automatically perform several procedures, including detecting the level of the base of the telescope, finding north and attempting a GPS Fix. The telescope will now align two stars to orient itself. This process starts when “Automatic Alignment: Selecting Star” and “Slewing” appear on the display. When the telescope is ready, “Center Brightest Star: Press Enter” appears on the display.
