After a video project has been completed in Final Cut Pro and exported using Compressor, it still needs to be fashioned into a DVD. This process, called authoring, is handled in the Final Cut Pro suite by Apple’s DVD Studio Pro software. Using the provided templates makes authoring quick and easy. Read on to learn how to author a DVD using DVD Studio Pro. Click the “Import” button in the assets list in the bottom right (in most DVD Studio screen arrangements) or by choosing it under the “File” tab. From the list generated, select the MPEG-2 and audio files that were created for the DVD using Final Cut Pro and Compressor. Drag the video file and the corresponding audio file (if more than one audio file was generated, pick the smallest) into the green box marked “Track 1.” Double click on the green box so that the lower right hand pane becomes the Track inspector (it will say “Track” at the top). Select “Menu 1” from the drop down list next to “End Jump.” Double click on the blue box lab
