How Do You Attach Vinyl Siding To A Block House?
Vinyl siding is a popular, durable building material that can provide your home with an attractive and low maintenance finish. Mounting vinyl siding to a block house requires first mounting furring strips to the house upon which the vinyl will be mounted. Once you have the furring strips fastened to the block house, you can attach channels and then the siding panels, which will slide into the channels. Use a hammer drill with a carbide bit to drill holes in the concrete block for your sleeve anchors. Stagger these anchors along the length of the furring strips in order to prevent splitting the wood. The holes drilled through the wood and block should match the diameter of the sleeve anchor. Clean the holes in the concrete thoroughly with a wire brush and shop vacuum. Clear the holes entirely of any concrete dust or debris.
