How Do You Attach Pinch-Pleated Drapes To A Curtain Rod?
Pinch-pleated drapes create a classy look for windows and are relatively easy to hang. Pinch-pleated drapes are often hung on a traverse rod; this allows the drapes to be opened and closed by pulling a cord. The weight of your drapery fabric will determine how quickly and easily you can attach your pinch-pleats to a traverse rod. Affix one metal pin hook to the center of each pinch on the curtain panel by inserting the hook up through the pleat or through the pleated fabric itself if the hook has a pointed edge. Be careful not to unravel any sewn seams of the pleats. Start with one end of the traverse rod in one hand and one end of the curtain panel, right side out, in the other hand. Thread each of the hooked pleats through the traverse rod’s rings until all pleats are hooked along one end of the rod.
