How Do You Attach Mirrors To Walls?
Mirrors help accentuate the size of any room. They reflect light, which makes a room brighter and appear larger. A mirror can be very heavy, and you must safely secure it when hanging a mirror up. Using the stud finder, find the studs in the wall to hang a mirror. Check the back side of the mirror to see if it has picture wire attached or is bare. This will help you gauge where to put the screw or whether to use mirror clips. Place the level directly over the two studs you found. Place the chalk liner slightly above the level, and snap it back to the wall. This will leave a light-colored line for you to follow when attaching mirror mounts. Using your drill, insert the screws or mirror mounts into the wall. If inserting a screw, leave about 1/2 inch of screw head sticking away from the wall so the picture wire can safely catch on to hold the mirror up.
