If you’ve ever wondered what you can do to assist a friend or neighbor in the first hours and days after the death of a loved one, here are a few thoughtful ideas. Bring them complete but simple meals that are easy for them to put on the table. Meals I have provided are Lasagna, rolls and butter, tossed salad and bottled salad dressing and brownies for dessert or something simpler such as cold cut and cheese platter with another platter containing vegetables for sandwiches, sandwich rolls, condiments such as mustard and mayo, chips and pickles and a simple sheet cake.
